ABOUT DIGGERS AND THE RECOCHEM GROUP

Recochem has its beginnings in 1951, when Joseph Kuchar and his wife established the company in Montreal, Canada and sold only two products. Fast forward to today and Recochem is still a privately held and Canadian owned company but with global reach and recognition for its high quality products and continued high standards of customer care. With over 6 decades in operation comes tremendous experience, experience that has been built upon to finely tune and perfect the products that Recochem sells today, all over the world. During that time the company has seen many changes, built long-lasting relationships with customers, received various industry awards and has gained a reputation as a dynamic and innovative company while also incorporating a socially and environmentally responsible ethos into the business model.

In 1975, Recochem opened a manufacturing and distribution facility in Brisbane allowing for new markets to be explored in the territory of Australasia. Forty years later in 2006, Recochem acquired the consumer solvent brand ‘Diggers’ which allowed the Recochem group to again expand into new markets. Recochem Australia is now well established as a producer of quality solvents with full logistical and operational capabilities to meet the requirements of the continent and surrounding islands of Australasia.

With fully licenced manufacturing facilities in Adelaide and Perth as well as storage facilities spread across Australia, all of which meeting National Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, Recochem Australia offers a broad spectrum of products and services, with customer satisfaction as the main goal.

Recochem adheres to strict quality standards and is accredited with both ISO 9001:2008 and TSI6949, these universally recognised standards demand high levels of customer service and product quality. Serving millions of customers each year in a number of markets from industrial to automotive, agricultural and consumer industries means that Recochem Australia sees millions of kilograms through its sites annually, and distributes them all over Australasia.

Recochem is committed to protecting the environment and takes an active role in developing company policies that ensure that Recochem products cause as little environmental damage as possible. Additionally, Recochem takes safety seriously and has always strived to provide a safe working environment as well as safe products. Recochem is also socially responsible and places the welfare of employees, customers and all stakeholders in our shared environment at the top of its business ethic. So you can be sure that all Diggers products shown here have been manufactured, packaged, distributed and sold to the highest quality, safety and environmental standards.

DIGGERS

In 2006 the Australian hardware brand ‘Diggers’ was purchased by Recochem. Diggers was already an established brand but is now a household name and has developed a first-rate reputation for the supply of a full range of methylated spirits, mineral turpentine and kerosene based products, all of which are of the highest quality while remaining affordable.

All across Australia, people are using Diggers products to clean tough stains from paving slabs, protect timber fencing, strip paint, remove tough grease and even touch up the fibreglass on their surfboards. All of this can be done safely, at a low cost to you financially, a low cost to the environment and with excellent results.
